With ears alert to sounds both near and far,

Each movement measured, every beat a part

Of nature’s song beneath the evening star.

Their eyes reflect the forest’s ancient lore,

A wisdom born of instinct, pure and wild,

With strength and caution woven at their core,

Yet tender as a mother with her child.

In twilight’s calm, they vanish out of sight,

As shadows meld to guard them through the night,

A fleeting glimpse, a memory held dear,

Of beauty found in quiet paths they steer.
